Near the Arctic Circle researchers detonate a nuclear device and unwittingly thaw a prehistoric beast frozen for millions of years. The monster leaves a path of destruction across eastern North America as it heads straight for New York City. When heavy artillery proves ineffective against the towering creature, scientist Tom Nesbitt (Paul Christian) concocts a radioactive formula to take it down! Based on Ray Bradbury's 1951 short story of the same name (later reprinted as "The Fog Horn," with stop-motion animation by Ray Harryhausen.

Zeke Allis is a film programmer and video editor working in Manhattan where he was born and raised. He studied film at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign where he received the Roger Ebert Fellowship.
